Flash from the browser
Plug the reader in over USB, then connect and flash. Works in Chrome, Edge, and other Chromium browsers that support Web Serial.
Your browser talks to the chip directly — nothing is uploaded to a server.
Before you flash
- Wake the device from sleep before flashing.
- This replaces whatever firmware is currently on the device. Your books and settings live on the SD card and are untouched.
- If the flash fails, hold the Next Page button, short-press Reset once, then release the Reset button first to force download mode, and retry.
- A wrong-chip image won’t brick the board — it just won’t boot. Reflash the correct one.
